Coinford is looking for an experienced 10T Operator to join a finishing works gang on major groundworks projects. This is a long-term opportunity for operators who take pride in precision, finishing, and high-quality machine care.

• Operate a 10T Excavator safely and efficiently on site

• Support finishing works gangs with external works including:

  • Drainage and service trenches

  • Foundations

  • Road formation

  • Type 1, topsoil, and final grading

• Work confidently with trench boxes, manhole boxes, and drag boxes

• Read and follow drawings, levels, and setting-out information

• Work safely around live services , following service-avoidance procedures

• Carry out daily pre-start checks , inspections, and basic machine maintenance

• Maintain high standards of machine care, greasing, and cleaning

• Collaborate with engineers, foremen, and gang members to meet programme deadlines

• CPCS / NPORS 360 Excavator (10T+ with Lifting Ops)

• 5+ years’ experience in groundworks or civil engineering

• Experience in external works and finishing

• GPS / machine control (Trimble, Leica, or similar) advantageous

• Additional tickets: Dumper, Roller, Telehandler

• SSSTS or willingness to work towards

• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious

• Strong attention to detail and finishing quality

• Works well within a gang and with site teams

• Right to work in the UK
