Are you an experienced fire safety professional looking for an opportunity to influence safety standards across a large and diverse residential property portfolio?
We are seeking a Fire Safety Officer to join our specialist Fire Safety Team, providing technical expertise, assurance and compliance oversight across residential housing assets throughout the UK.
This is a varied role combining site inspections, stakeholder engagement and fire safety assurance activities. You'll play a key part in ensuring compliance with fire safety legislation while helping protect residents, colleagues and property assets.
What you'll be doing

Conducting fire safety inspections across residential properties and communal areas.

Monitoring and assuring compliance with fire safety legislation and internal standards.

Reviewing fire risk assessments and supporting the management of remedial actions.

Liaising with housing teams, caretaking teams, contractors, local authorities and Fire & Rescue Services.

Supporting quality assurance activities relating to fire safety projects and compliance programmes.

Providing technical fire safety advice and guidance to operational teams.

Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of fire safety processes and standards.

Supporting Building Safety and Fire Safety governance across the portfolio.
About you
We're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including housing, facilities management, construction, building safety, compliance, fire risk assessment and Fire & Rescue Services.
However, applicants must be able to demonstrate strong technical fire safety knowledge and experience within a fire safety, compliance, inspection or assurance-based role.
You'll ideally possess:

Fire Safety Level 3 qualification or equivalent.

NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or similar qualification.

Knowledge of the Fire Safety Act, Building Safety Act and wider fire safety legislation.

Experience undertaking inspections, audits or fire safety assurance activities.

Understanding of residential buildings, social housing, facilities or property environments.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

A full UK driving licence and access to transport.
