The Role:

As a Practice Bookkeeper , you will play a vital role in managing the day-to-day bookkeeping needs for a wide range of clients, ensuring their financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with current regulations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work, as you’ll be handling multiple clients from different sectors, giving you exposure to various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, including sole traders and SMEs - inlcuding the construction space.
• Processing invoices, payments, and reconciling accounts
• Preparing VAT returns and assisting with year-end accounts - inlcuding CIS
• Maintaining up-to-date financial records in line with HMRC regulations
• Liaising with accountants to ensure seamless handover for final accounts preparation

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in a practice environment is essential
• Strong knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clients
• Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
