DUTIES

Your duties as a Fabricator / Welder / Fabrication and Welding Engineer will include:

• Weld and fabricate a variety of bespoke components using stainless steel, nickel alloys and mild steel materials, gauge of sheet metal generally between 0.9mm & 6mm thickness

• Weld and fabricate frameworks from mild steel rolled, stainless steel, hollow section and angle iron to a high standard

• Read engineering drawings and translate that into an end product with minimum supervision

• Achieve a high standard of finish/tolerance on bespoke fabricated products

• Complete problem logs regarding issues with drawings and materials

• Carry out site work when necessary

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Apprentice trained (City and Guilds / NVQ or equivalent qualification in fabrication and welding) and/or time served fabricator/welder

• Previous experience in the welding and fabrication of bespoke products, including sheet metal, working within a light / medium fabrication working environment

• Good MIG, TIG and spot-welding skills are essential, the interview will include a weld test

• Have good calculation skills and the ability to work to fine tolerances

• Capable of working on their own initiative and as part of a team

• Highly motivated with a team orientated work style

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Willingness to travel if required
