The Role as an Assistant Town Planner
As an Assistant Town Planner, you'll support senior professionals in delivering planning solutions for clients. You'll gain hands-on experience in site appraisals, planning applications, and stakeholder engagement while building your expertise in planning policy and development processes.

What You'll Be Doing as an Assistant Town Planner

  • Conducting site appraisals and planning research.
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals.
  • Collaborating with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
  • Supporting the team with strategic planning advice.
  • Staying informed about planning policy and regulatory changes.

What We're Looking for as an Assistant Town Planner

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI-accredited preferred).
  • Strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proactive approach and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A full UK driving licence.
