Service Development Manager

We are seeking a Service Development Manager to come and join our team!

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Partnerships, this role is responsible for driving the development and implementation of property maintenance and repair service improvements. You will work closely with senior property delivery teams, external contract partners, and internal stakeholders to lead positive change in a high-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic improvements in property maintenance and repairs services.
  • Work alongside Heads of Property, Commercial Managers, and Strategic Partnering Managers to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Provide expert guidance and support on business development initiatives within property delivery.
  • Lead change management processes, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption across the organisation.
  • Assess proposed initiatives, challenge assumptions, and add value to project developments.
  • Support the design and implementation of new technology, providing training and documentation.
  • Identify risks and issues, ensuring proactive resolution and management.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools, templates, and governance practices.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong knowledge of property management, asset management, and compliance regulations (fire safety, asbestos, gas, electric, lifts, etc.).
  • Proven experience in change management and business improvement within property/housing/construction.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data, ensuring data quality and governance.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in project management and business analysis, delivering strategic initiatives.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and IT systems to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on cost savings and service quality improvements.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
