Key Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting for a trainee fitter / labourer to work for our client based in Portsmouth dockyard.

The role will consist of / or you will need to be or have:

• A motivated individual with basic mechanical knowledge
• Learning from experienced fitters and engineers
• Assisting with the repair and maintenance of machines
• Physically fit and able - for general labouring duties, lifting and shifting (required to work within a warehouse environment at times but not limited to).
• IT literate for use with basic Excel/Word/Emails and record keeping (Strong with English and Maths).
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Reliable, hardworking, and a good team player
• Full Driving Licence
• Able to work under instructions to support the Warehouse Supervisor/Fitter and on their own initiative.
• Good understanding and practice of Health and Safety at work.
• Other general duties will be required where needed.

Hours are Mon-Fri 0730-1600 (Overtime & Weekends will be required where needed so must be available in this)

• Pay rate £13.00 p.h. as a basic (Overtime and Weekend uplifts will apply).
• Must be able pass a clear DBS, 3 years of consistent employment references, 5 years UK address history, and valid photo ID.
• Full Induction and briefs will be given to any successful candidate ( PPE supplied).
• Temp to Perm role for the right candidate.
