Role Details:

• Location: Head Office in Essex, with routine national site visits.
• Responsibilities: Oversee commercial management of contracts, including terms and conditions, monthly valuations, and cost reporting. Collaborate with the Commercial Manager, Finance Department, and Contract Management team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
• Perform cost analysis, risk management, and value engineering.
• Manage procurement processes and tender documentation.
• Administer contracts, including preparation, negotiation, and management of variations.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and provide regular financial updates.
• Advise on contractual matters and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure financial parameters are met.
• Foster relationships with clients, contractors, and consultants.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, etc.) is desirable but not essential.
