MECHANICAL QA-QC ENGINEER

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical QA-QC Engineer to join our team in the Shotton Paper Mill Project.

Working hours: From 7am to 5:30pm - 9,5 hours paid, break unpaid.
Saturday rate : 1.5x
Sunday and bank holidays rate: Double
Rate : Negotiable

Position: Mechanical QA-QC Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement QA/QC plans specific to mechanical installation projects.
• Ensure all procedures comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical installations, including HVAC, piping, and other systems, to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Monitor installation processes and methodologies to identify potential quality issues.
• Oversee and perform functional testing of mechanical systems, ensuring they operate according to design specifications.
• Document test results and verify compliance with performance standards.
• Work closely with construction managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality-related issues and ensure effective communication.

Qualifications:

• A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Alternatively, a vocational qualification such as an NVQ/SVQ in Mechanical Engineering or Installation.
• Certification in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Relevant qualifications in mechanical installation or engineering, such as City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Proven experience in QA/QC roles within the construction industry, specifically in mechanical installations.
• Familiarity with UK mechanical standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., BS EN standards).
• Certification in QA/QC or related fields is a plus.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Valid equivalent CSCS Card.
