We are seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team in Hook. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about maintaining outdoor spaces and has a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate must hold a UK driving licence and be committed to safety and excellence in grounds maintenance.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Work as part of a flexible team to perform grounds maintenance and handy person services according to agreed work schedules and standards.
• Carry out a range of landscaping and environmental improvement works including ground preparation, mowing, seeding, weeding, and planting.
• Undertake maintenance of flower beds and borders, pruning, leaf clearance, and other horticultural maintenance tasks as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness across all sites.
• Take responsibility for the maintenance and care of tools.
• Use initiative and proactive thinking to support all maintenance functions.
• Perform additional duties as requested from time to time.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of horticultural practices and environmental improvement techniques.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Proactive and able to use initiative to solve problems.
