Interim Financial Controller
We're working with a growing construction business based in Leytonstone that is undergoing a significant finance transformation following the appointment of a new Fractional CFO.
This isn't a role for someone who simply produces management accounts. We're looking for a technically strong Financial Controller who enjoys getting into the detail, solving problems and bringing order to a finance function.
If you're the type of person who thrives on investigating historic balances, reconciling complex accounts and leaving things in a far better place than you found them, we'd love to hear from you.
The business has historically produced quarterly management accounts, with limited monthly balance sheet reconciliations. As part of a wider finance improvement programme, you'll take ownership of reviewing and reconciling the balance sheet, identifying historic issues and establishing robust financial controls.
You'll be working in a business with long-established processes, including paper-based records and legacy filing systems, so this role requires someone who is naturally inquisitive and resourceful. There won't always be someone who can tell you the answer-you'll need to know how to find it.

This is a hands-on assignment for someone who enjoys fixing problems rather than maintaining the status quo. If you're known for rolling up your sleeves, finding answers where others can't, and taking pride in producing a clean, fully reconciled balance sheet, we'd love to speak with you.
