Up to 60,000 Basic Salary + 5,000 Bonus + Company Car + Excellent Benefits
Territory: Ireland (Dublin, Kilkenny, Waterford, Cork)

Our retained client is a highly respected manufacturer of innovative lighting solutions and is continuing to strengthen its presence across the Irish market. As part of its ongoing growth strategy, the business is seeking to appoint a commercially minded and relationship-driven BDM to join its successful team.

This is a newly created position designed to support continued expansion, increase market penetration, and further develop relationships with consultants, contractors, end users, and key stakeholders throughout Ireland.

Offering a blend of business development, project sales, technical support, and account management, this role provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to build a long-term career within a growing and highly regarded organisation.

Working closely with an experienced and collaborative Dublin-based team, you will be given the autonomy to develop your territory whilst benefiting from comprehensive technical, design, and project support.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying, developing, and converting project opportunities across Ireland, with a particular focus on the Greater Dublin area and Cork.

You will engage with customers throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial specification and design through to tender stage, installation, and project completion.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing strong relationships with existing consultants, specifiers, end users, contractors, and key project stakeholders.
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities across the Irish market.
  • Re-engaging dormant and underdeveloped accounts, converting them into active project opportunities.
  • Supporting customers through the specification, design, tender, and project delivery process.
  • Conducting client meetings, site surveys, project reviews, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Working closely with internal lighting design and technical teams to deliver tailored customer solutions.
  • Managing and maintaining a healthy project pipeline through effective CRM and account planning.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across sales, design, and operations to ensure exceptional customer outcomes.

You may currently be working within:

  • Construction Product Sales
  • Lighting Design

The successful candidate is likely to possess:

  • Experience within lighting, electrical, engineering, or technical sales environments.
  • A technical qualification or background within electrical engineering, building services, lighting, or a related discipline.
  • Lighting design knowledge or experience (highly advantageous).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to develop long-term customer relationships and identify project opportunities.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to territory development.
  • A full driving licence.
