You will be working in the Commercial Services OU where we drive commercial transformation across Skanska UK where we create smarter ways of working that unlock value, strengthen partnerships and set us up for long-term success.

We are currently looking for a Senior Procurement Manager who will lead a procurement team to procure and manage agreements, sub-contract packages and/or contracts for Skanska at project level, delivering best value solutions, and providing, projects and/or Enabling Functions with a compliant, sustainable supply chain.

As the Senior Procurement Manager, you will:

  • Planning, co-ordination and reporting on package / category sourcing and category management activity working primarily at major project level.
  • Line management and development of procurement team who undertake package procurement / category sourcing and/or category management activity.
  • Procurement and management of a portfolio of packages/categories across multiple areas of spend to optimise value to the business through supplier selection and supplier relationship management.
  • Development and scrutiny of procurement strategies to clearly demonstrate and seek approval from stakeholders on how a product / service will be strategically procured
  • Draft, negotiate and execute robust framework agreements / contracts incorporating relevant Skanska policies, to reflect the deal, and protect the business from risk, scrutinising agreements drafting by the team.

We are looking for:

  • Previous managerial experience ideally in a procurement focused role and ability to develop a successful team.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant forms of contract.
  • Extensive supply chain marketplace knowledge.
  • MCIPS qualified or industry equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience of driving the right decisions and outcomes in line with organisation priorities.
