Due to continued growth, they are looking for an
Assistant Arboriculturist
to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to meaningful projects across the UK.
As an Assistant Arboriculturist, you'll support a variety of projects. Your work will include:

Conducting tree surveys for planning and construction projects in line with BS 5837:2012 standards.

Assisting with tree health assessments, hazard evaluations, and risk surveys.

Preparing Tree Survey Plans and Tree Protection Plans.

Contributing to technical reports like Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements.
-
Gathering data to advise clients on arboricultural issues.

Supervising on-site tree protection measures during construction.
Assistant Arboriculturalist Requirements
Consultancy-based experience is ideal. You should have a background in a related field such as:

Tree Surgery, Arboriculture, or Forestry.

Ecology, Conservation, or Habitat Management.
-
Planning, Local Authority, or Engineering.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
:

A Level 2 or higher qualification in arboriculture or a related environmental discipline.

Excellent tree identification skills.
-
Basic computer literacy (MS Word and Excel).
-
A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable Skills
:
-
Membership in a professional body (e.g., Arboricultural Association, Royal Forestry Society).

Experience with GIS or AutoCAD systems (training available).

Report writing experience, particularly Arboricultural Impact Assessments or Method Statements.

Knowledge of BS5837:2012 surveys or tree hazard assessments.

Practical tree management experience.
