We are now looking for a motivated Instructor Demonstrator in Plumbing & Heating to join the Construction team at our Deeside campus. This role offers the opportunity to support learners in developing essential practical skills within modern, industry-standard workshops.
About the RoleAs an Instructor Demonstrator in Plumbing & Heating, you will:
• Deliver practical demonstrations and hands-on training across a range of plumbing and heating activities
• Support learners in developing key skills such as tool use, first-fix and second-fix installation, and safe working practices
• Work closely with lecturers and course coordinators to plan structured workshop sessions
• Monitor learner progress, assess practical competence, and maintain accurate records
• Contribute to learner reviews, course outcomes, and departmental planning
• Promote a positive, supportive, and professional learning environment
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, attendance, and punctuality
• Participate in staff development and ongoing CPD opportunities
• Uphold college policies relating to Health & Safety, Equality, and Quality
• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Plumbing, Heating, or a related discipline
• Recent industry experience within the plumbing and heating sector
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry practices and willingness to continue professional learning
• Ability to deliver clear, engaging practical demonstrations
• Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems
• Ability to maintain a safe, organised workshop environment
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to support learners with varying abilities
• Welsh language skills are essential for this post, with support available for colleagues wishing to develop their Welsh
