Our client based in Dartford is seeking a Trainee /Junior Estimator.

Salary: up to £30,000 pa depending on experience and qualifications

Hours: office - 37.5 hours pw

Benefits: after training - company vehicle, 20 days holiday + 8 BH, free parking at office, accommodation expenses paid by the company

The Trainee Estimator role is responsible for quoting customer enquiries. The role entails understanding and accurately interpreting customer and project requirements and producing an accurate and comprehensive quotation that reflects those requirements.

The position of Trainee Estimator will suit candidate that are seeking work within the construction industry.

Trainee Estimator candidates should possess the following skills:

• team player
• excellent attention to detail
• excellent communication skills - written and verbal
• A good standard of technical product knowledge (construction)
• Computer literate
• Some work experience within an office environment in the construction industry would be beneficial or candidates with education but no work experience looking to become an Estimator will be considered
• Willing to work on site for a period of time to gain understanding of product before moving to the Estimator role full time will be required.

Trainee Estimator role and responsibilities:

• Visiting sites to price work
• Producing quotations
• Liaising with customers and other internal departments to clarify project requirements

• Carrying out any other tasks that may be necessary for the smooth running of the role
