Bookkeepers – CIS experienced (Construction Industry Scheme)

Reed Accountancy are recruiting for an experienced bookkeeper to join our Coventry based client.

I am seeking an experienced CIS Bookkeeper to manage the financial administration of construction-related operations, with a strong focus on ensuring compliance with the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS). The successful candidate will oversee subcontractor verification, monthly returns, payments, and accurate financial record-keeping. In addition to.

• Manage day to day financial transactions including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations.

• Post invoices, credit notes, and payments accurately into the accounting system XERO.

• Handle supplier statements, payment runs, and aged creditor reports.

• Assist with month end preparation including accruals, prepayments, and financial reports.

• Assisting with payroll

Essential skills and experience for this role

• Strong knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).

• Proven bookkeeping experience within the construction sector.

• Proficiency with accounting software Xero.

• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills when dealing with subcontractors.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, especially monthly CIS cycles,
