Data Cabling Supervisor (Working Supervisor)

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Data Cabling Supervisor to oversee a team of four engineers on a long-term project in London.

This is a hands-on working supervisor role, where you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the team whilst also carrying out structured cabling installations yourself.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of 4 Data Cabling Engineers.
• Carry out structured cabling installations including Cat6, Cat6A and fibre optic cabling.
• Allocate daily workloads and ensure productivity targets are met.
• Monitor the quality of installations and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Conduct toolbox talks and maintain site health and safety standards.
• Liaise with project managers, site management and other trades.
• Manage site documentation and progress reporting.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.
  
  

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience as a Data Cabling Supervisor, Lead Engineer or Working Supervisor.
• Strong structured cabling installation background.
• Experience supervising teams on commercial, industrial or data centre projects.
• Valid SSSTS certificate (essential).
• ECS or CSCS Card.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and cable schedules.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

• IPAF.
• PASMA.
• Fibre termination and testing experience.
• Fluke testing experience.
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure.
