NQ Construction Solicitor – Chester


A well-established and highly regarded regional law firm is looking to strengthen its Construction team in Chester with the appointment of a Solicitor at 0-4 PQE.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Construction Lawyer looking to develop their career within a specialist team, working closely with an experienced Partner and gaining exposure to a broad range of construction matters.

The team acts for a diverse client base including developers, landowners, main contractors, subcontractors, funders, employers and professional consultants. The work covers both contentious and non-contentious construction matters, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to develop a well-rounded practice.

The role will include:

  • Advising on a broad range of construction contracts and documentation
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction agreements
  • Working with JCT and other standard form contracts
  • Advising on variations, extensions of time, payment provisions, termination and contractual risk
  • Assisting with construction claims and disputes
  • Supporting adjudications and other forms of construction dispute resolution
  • Advising clients throughout the lifecycle of construction projects
  • Working closely with clients and other professional advisers to provide commercially focused advice
