My client is a well-established global organisation in the construction and infrastructure sector are looking for a Financial Accoutnant to join for a Maternity Cover.

About the Role:
The Financial Accounting Manager will be responsible for:

• Preparing annual statutory accounts and gathering information from across the business
• Managing the annual corporation tax pack, liaising with external advisors, and resolving queries
• Reviewing and submitting quarterly VAT returns and handling tax-related queries
• Overseeing month-end close processes and drafting management accounts for senior stakeholders
• Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations and implementing review meetings
• Supporting the transition to a unified country-wide financial accounting team
• Preparing insurance renewal packs and coordinating data collection
• Managing and mentoring a direct report

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members
• Solid experience with statutory accounts, corporation tax, and VAT returns
• Proficiency in management accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Project management experience (beneficial)
• SAP experience (advantageous)
