We are currently recruiting for a mechanical site supervisor on behalf of a well-established M&E contracting business. This is a contract role based at a large industrial project in Shotton, Wales. The role involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
This position is ideal for an experienced supervisor with a strong background in mechanical systems who is looking for a new opportunity on a high-profile project.
Responsibilities
* Supervising and coordinating mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair work on-site, including HVAC, plumbing, and industrial machinery.
* Diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues using technical knowledge and tools.
* Conducting inspections and implementing preventive maintenance schedules to maintain system performance.
* Liaising with engineers, subcontractors, and other site personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
* Preparing and submitting reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and improvement recommendations.
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Leading and supporting mechanical operatives and subcontractors to deliver high-quality work.
Requirements
* NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in mechanical engineering or a related field.
* HNC/HND in mechanical engineering or equivalent is preferred.
* Relevant certifications, such as City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications.
* Experience in mechanical maintenance or installation, ideally within an industrial or construction environment.
* Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage site activities effectively.
* Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems in an industrial setting.
* Valid CSCS card (or equivalent).
* Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
