As a Site Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in our mission to create a state-of-the-art cancer centre. Join our dynamic team and make a difference!

The Site Manager is to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites, as the point of reference of both workers and sub-contractors. The role holder will be responsible for day to day running of their area and for ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the latest drawing, specifications, and programme.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Build and develop the team to deliver all aspects of the project requirements.
• Monitor and instruct subcontractor and direct workforce, identifying training requirements and ensuring only trained, competent and authorised persons are completing assigned tasks and operating equipment.
• Identifying and communicating any delays on site to the senior management team.
• Demonstrate excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards.
• Project a positive and cooperative attitude by maintaining courteous and professional conduct with Supervisors, co-workers, customers, and the public.
• Ensure that the different work sites are kept clean and organised.
• Lead by example as a role model for company values and professional standards.
• Implement and monitor Quality Assurance and ensure compliance by on site team.
• Drive the delivery of business and corporate plans in own areas of responsibility.
• Manage delegated resources (e.g. budgets, equipment, and contracts) as appropriate, to ensure value for money.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Right to work in the UK
• CSCS Card valid
• Bachelor’s Degree in in a relevant field (Construction/ Engineering) or equivalent
• Minimum experience of 5 years in a similar role;

In addition to the above

• Experience in multi-million design and build contracts.
• Skilled in both working within and leading project teams
• Good numeracy skills and the ability to make mathematical calculation.
• Advanced communication, listening and negotiation skills.
• Demonstratable problem solving skills and experience.
• Ability to assume responsibilities for decision making on site.
• Well-developed teamwork skills.
• Excellent verbal, oral, and written communication skill.
