Sign Fitter/Installer - Cardiff

Juice recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a signage company based in Cardiff, with a reputation for delivering high-quality solutions for a wide range of clients.

They are looking for a Sign Installer/Fitter to join an expanding team. The role involves travelling locally/across the country to work on projects, ensuring high standards of installation and customer satisfaction.

Full training is provided for this role.

You must have a full UK drivers license, a business vehicle will be provided for any travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install various types of signage, such as vinyl, illuminated, non-illuminated, LED, digital, and channel letters in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and contractors to ensure installations meet design specifications and client expectations.
  • Mount signs securely to various surfaces using ladders, lifts, or scaffolding when needed.
  • Install and connect electrical components, including wiring, lighting, and power sources, while adhering to safety codes.
  • Take precise measurements and mark areas for installation according to technical drawings.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks such as replacing bulbs, parts, or digital components when necessary.
  • Liaise with clients to confirm sign placements, designs, and expectations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Self-motivation and a proactive approach to work, with a commitment to quality.
  • Reliability and the ability to stay organised while working independently.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfort with working at height and in high-traffic environments.
  • Flexibility to travel regularly and stay overnight when required, if travelling accomodation would be paid for.
  • A strong focus on health and safety practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) training is provided.
  • IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) training is provided.
  • PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) training is provided.

Desirable:

  • Experience within a similar industry (sign fitting, vinyl, illuminated, digital, etc.).
  • Familiarity with working in outdoor, busy environments.
