Reed Further Education are proud to be supporting a college in Cambridge in their search for a Lecturer in Electrical Installations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician who is passionate about sharing their industry knowledge and helping learners develop the skills they need for successful careers. Previous teaching experience is not essential, and full support will be provided to gain a teaching qualification if required. Lecturer Electrical Installations

Huntingdon (with some teaching at Cambridge)

£29,662 - £43,662 per annum

37 hours per week

Permanent, Full Time



The Role

You will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across Electrical Installation programmes, supporting students of varying ages and abilities to achieve their potential.

The role will include:

  • Delivering engaging and practical Electrical Installation lessons.
  • Assessing student work and monitoring progress.
  • Developing teaching materials and course resources.
  • Providing tutorial support and guidance to learners.
  • Supporting student recruitment and promotional events.
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive curriculum team.
  • Building and maintaining strong industry links. Lecturer Electrical Installations

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification.
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
  • Substantial, recent industry experience within Electrical Installations.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage learners of all ages and abilities. Lecturer Electrical Installations

Desirable:

  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or DTLLS).
  • Assessor or Internal Verification qualifications.
  • Previous teaching, training or mentoring experience.
  • Construction or Building Services related qualifications. Lecturer Electrical Installations
