Maintenance Manager (Residential)

Full job description

We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and facilities operations of a busy residential site.

This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for maintaining safe, high-quality living environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all planned and reactive maintenance across the site
  • Manage contractors, service schedules, and compliance checks
  • Ensure health & safety standards and statutory testing are completed
  • Carry out general repairs, inspections, and building maintenance
  • Support site operations including emergency response and on-call duties
  • Monitor maintenance budgets, stock levels, and supplies
  • Work closely with onsite teams to maintain excellent resident experience
About You
  • Previous maintenance or facilities management experience within residential, hospitality, accommodation, or similar environments
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety and building compliance
  • Experience with general maintenance including plumbing and/or electrical work
  • Able to manage workload effectively and respond to emergencies when required
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualification desirable but not essential
