Your new company
If you're looking for a procurement role where your decisions directly influence cost, supplier performance and operational success, this is worth your attention.
You'll join one of the UK's leading manufacturers, a business that designs, manufactures and supplies products nationwide from its technology-driven manufacturing and distribution operation in North Lincolnshire. Continued investment across operations, supply chain and people means procurement plays a highly visible role in supporting growth and business performance.
Your new role
This is more than managing suppliers and placing contracts. You'll have the opportunity to shape sourcing strategies, influence commercial decisions and build supplier partnerships that have a direct impact on manufacturing performance.
As Senior Buyer, you'll take ownership of an established portfolio of materials and suppliers, leading procurement activity from sourcing and supplier selection through to negotiation, contract management and performance improvement. Your recommendations will influence purchasing decisions, drive value across the supply chain and support the wider commercial objectives of the business.
Success in this role will be measured by the value you create, the relationships you build and your ability to help the business secure the right quality, service and cost from its supply base. You'll work closely with colleagues across manufacturing, operations, finance and supply chain, giving you exposure well beyond procurement and the opportunity to make a genuine commercial contribution.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll already be operating as a Senior Buyer, Procurement Buyer or Strategic Buyer and will understand what good procurement looks like in a manufacturing, engineering, FMCG or similarly operational environment.
You're likely to have built your reputation through strong supplier relationships, effective negotiations and delivering measurable improvements across cost, quality, service or supply continuity. You'll be comfortable balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day decision-making and enjoy working with stakeholders who rely on procurement to help achieve business objectives.
The strongest candidates will bring experience of end-to-end sourcing, supplier performance management and commercial negotiations, alongside the analytical capability to identify risks, opportunities and market trends. Experience within manufacturing, furniture, interiors, construction products or consumer goods would be advantageous, as would exposure to category management, international sourcing or product development projects.
What you'll get in return
Alongside a salary of up to £45,000, you'll join a growing organisation where procurement is recognised as a key contributor to business performance rather than a purely transactional function. You'll benefit from structured training, ongoing professional development and clear opportunities to build your procurement career within a large and established business.
The package also includes a company pension scheme, holiday entitlement plus public holidays, staff discount schemes, employee wellbeing initiatives and access to on-site facilities. The role is full-time, permanent, working Monday to Friday, with flexible working options available.
