Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a close-knit Planning Consultancy in Birmingham who are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Planner to join their dynamic planning team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for planning and a desire to grow within a professional environment, while working on an exciting pipeline of work across industrial, residential, education, retail, leisure and more!
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications.

Support senior planning staff in the coordination and management of various planning projects.

Conduct research and analysis to inform planning strategies and proposals.

Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication throughout the planning process.

Contribute to the preparation of reports, planning applications, and other relevant documents.
Key Requirements:
-
A degree or equivalent qualification in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Knowledge of planning policy and procedures is desirable but not essential.

A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail.

Experience in a planning-related role, public or private sector.
