Working Foreman - Social Housing / Special Projects

Location: Midlands (Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Shrewsbury & surrounding areas)


Salary: Perm £39,000 Basic + OTE £43,000 + Vehicle Allowance + Overtime

Job Type: Temp to Perm or Permanent


Your New Company Our client is one of the UK's leading property services contractors, delivering a wide range of refurbishment, maintenance and special projects across the Midlands. Due to continued growth within their Specialist Projects team, they are looking to appoint several Working Supervisors to support a diverse portfolio of projects.

Your New Role This is a genuine Working Foreman position where you will spend approximately 50% of your time supervising site operations and 50% carrying out hands-on trade work when required. You'll be responsible for leading small teams, maintaining quality standards and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.

Projects are varied and can include:

  • Care home refurbishments
  • Listed building works
  • Flood damage reinstatement
  • Reactive maintenance projects
  • Specialist refurbishment works
  • Projects up to approximately £1.6 million in value

Unlike traditional planned maintenance environments focused purely on kitchens and bathrooms, this role offers significant variety and exposure to a broader range of construction and refurbishment projects.

What You'll Need to Succeed Ideally, you'll have:

  • Previous experience as a Working Foreman, Supervisor or Lead Multi-Trade Operative
  • Strong construction, maintenance or refurbishment experience
  • Ability to lead teams whilst remaining hands-on when required
  • Excellent communication and people-management skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence

The following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • SSSTS
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid
