We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to work on a major highways infrastructure project in Birmingham on a long-term contract basis.
This role will suit a Senior Engineer with strong setting-out, technical, and coordination experience on large-scale highways or civil engineering schemes.
Key Responsibilities:

Setting out and engineering control of highways works
*
Overseeing day-to-day engineering activities on site
*
Managing and mentoring Site Engineers and junior staff
*
Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme
*
Carrying out QA checks and ensuring accurate as-built records
*
Liaising with the Site Agent, subcontractors, and design teams
*
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on highways or civil engineering projects
*
Strong setting out and surveying experience
*
Sound knowledge of highways specifications and construction methods
*
CSCS card (essential)
*
SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
*
Ability to work independently and manage engineering teams
*
Right to work in the UK
