Locum Principal Contracts Lawyer | Predominantly Remote Working | Hourly Rate D.O.E
REED’s specialist In-House Legal team is thrilled to be recruiting for a skilled Principal Contracts Lawyer to join our client’s team for an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for further extension. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a public sector company, providing expert legal advice and support on a variety of contractual and procurement matters while also being responsible for leading and managing the Corporate Commercial Team.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and provide legal advice on contract and procurement law.

Strategic leadership with a proven track record of managing a team of senior lawyers, lawyers, and paralegals.

Allocation and management of legal referrals.

Strong understanding of public sector frameworks.
-
Handle a range of contractual agreements within a local government/public setting.

Manage commercial contracts, procurement, information management, IT, technology, construction, intellectual property, public law, and grant agreements.

Address public procurement matters and frameworks.

Work with JCT & NEC contracts.

Ability to sit and advise on various boards within the Council.

Company law experience.

A current practising certificate and be entitled to practice in England as a Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
