We are currently looking to speak with Construction Project Managers to lead on the Project Management function within a fast growing, boutique Development/Construction Management consultancy in Bedfordshire.

You will be responsible for the delivery of key projects ranging from £250k - £20m, with a future vision to develop a new team of Project Managers within the business.
The role provides an excellent opportunity for continuous professional development with a personalised progression plan, with a target for the Construction Project Manager to develop a new Project Management Team and obtain a more senior position within the company structure, plus a real chance to make a mark and play an integral role in developing the company further.
Role & Responsibilities:

Completion of PM documentation (i.e. Programme of Works, Risk Register, Issues log, Lessons learned).

Monitoring the design process to ensure completion on time and to the required standard.

Preparation of tender documentation and contractor selection process.

Negotiating the technical and commercial aspects of construction contracts and

coordinating the preparation of the Employer's Requirements.

Attending regular progress meetings with the main contractor to review quality, cost and programme.

Overseeing and co-ordinating external project management partners to deliver on large
-
commercial projects.

Overseeing completion and handover of the project from construction site to completed
-
building.

Concluding the final account and monitoring the property during the defect's liability period.

Continuous engagement with clients, fostering excellent communication skills to all parties.
Candidate Requirements:
-
Previous Project Management experience within a UK construction consultancy or client side developer - with minimum 3-5 years' experience.

Hold a BSc/MSc in Project Management or related construction field.

A successful track record in delivering projects from RIBA 4 to RIBA 7 ideally.

Experience in coordinating projects with internal and external consultants through the RIBA stages.

Preparing and taking ownership of the programme for developments across the tender and construction phases.

Experience in managing the design and procurement process under the Design and Build contracting route, and as employer (or representing the employer) post-contract.

Understanding of JCT format and bespoke contract documentation.
