About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Interim Estates Surveyor
to join a well-established local authority based in Bedford. This is a rewarding opportunity to work on diverse property management projects within the council's portfolio, playing a pivotal role in supporting community objectives and enhancing local services.
Key Responsibilities

Estates Management
: Oversee the council's property portfolio, including asset management, lease renewals, rent reviews, acquisitions, and disposals.

Valuation and Appraisals
: Conduct property valuations and market appraisals for various asset types within the portfolio.

Strategic Property Advice
: Provide professional advice on property and estate matters, supporting the council's goals and budget requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement
: Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including council teams, external agencies, and tenants to ensure alignment with council strategies.

Project Support
: Assist in property projects that drive efficiencies, improve revenue generation, and support sustainable property management across the estate.
Qualifications and Experience

Chartered Status
: MRICS or MCIOB essential.

Relevant Experience
: Demonstrable experience in estates and property management within a public sector or local authority environment is highly desirable.
