The organisation has a loyal, long-serving finance team and a reputation for a supportive work environment. The role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
Overseeing and managing financial reporting
Leading the budgeting and forecasting cycles ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives
Monitoring cash flow
Financial controls and compliance, ensuring robust internal controls are in place and aligned with regulatory requirements
Managing external audits and ensuring compliance with tax regulations
Mentoring and supporting a stable finance team, encouraging development and a culture of collaboration and efficiency
Driving automation, streamlining processes and implementing best practices
Collaborating with the Finance Director on strategic initiatives and one-off projects to add value
What you will need:
Previous experience in a similar role, such as Financial Controller / Finance Director / Head of Finance / Finance Manager
Qualified ( ACCA / ACA / CIMA ) or QBE
Strong technical accounting skills, with commercial exposure
A background in the construction sector or similar industry
Proven ability to lead, mentor and support a finance team
