Join our team as a Payroll Assistant, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. This role is crucial for managing our subcontractors' payroll and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will be part of a dynamic team, contributing to the financial operations within a successful group of companies.
Day-to-day of the role:

Manage fortnightly subcontractors' payroll for two entities within the Group.

Handle daily timesheets, liaise with site for payroll information, query discrepancies, process payslips with strong attention to detail and precision.

Manage external subcontractor payroll as required.

Assist with new subcontractor onboarding by recording payroll profiles.

Ensure all documentation for new hires is compliant, with quarterly full compliance checks.

Draft and issue contractual notifications and correspondence.

Collaborate closely with the Finance Assistant and Finance Manager to assist with annual leave/sickness cover.

Perform ad-hoc duties as requested by the Finance Manager and Group Head of Finance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 6 months experience in a payroll assistant role.

A proactive 'can do' attitude and a desire to grow and develop within the company.

Experience working in a dynamic, changing environment.

Knowledge of auto-enrolment and proficiency with SAGE 50 Payroll are extremely beneficial.

Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.

Essential experience with SAGE 50.

Basic knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).

High level of accuracy and good communication skills.
