Traffic Management / Civils Contracts Manager
Location: Glasgow, Scotland
Salary: £45,000 £52,000 per annum (DOE)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Axfar Recruitment are working in partnership with one of our civil engineering clients who are seeking an experienced Traffic Management / Civils Contracts Manager to join their team in Glasgow.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a range of projects across the Central Belt, including roadworks, utility infrastructure, and traffic management schemes for major clients in both the public and private sectors.

• Oversee multiple traffic management and civils contracts from planning through to completion.

• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and utility providers to ensure smooth project delivery.

• Manage teams of site supervisors, foremen, and operatives to ensure safe and efficient operations.

• Ensure full compliance with Chapter 8, NRSWA, and SRWR regulations.

• Monitor costs, budgets, and schedules while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

• Conduct site audits, risk assessments, and lead regular toolbox talks.

• Minimum 5 years experience in civils, highways, or utilities, including management or supervisory experience.

• NRSWA Supervisor (Units 116) certification (essential).

• LANTRA 12D / 12AB / TTM qualification (essential).

• SMSTS / SSSTS and valid CSCS card.

• Strong understanding of Chapter 8 legislation, HAUC, and Health & Safety practices.

• Excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple sites.

• Full UK driving licence.

• £45,000 £52,000 per annum (depending on experience)
